California Society of Enrolled Agents

 

Enrolled Agents who join CSEA agree to abide by a strict code of ethics and to fulfill 25% more education per year than other EAs. When looking   for help or guidance from a tax professional, taxpayers are therefore urged to find a Member of the California Society of Enrolled Agents to help ensure they don’t pay too much or risk an audit

National Association of Tax Professionals

 

NATP is the largest organization dedicated 100% to tax professionals and their success. They exist to boost professionals expertise and credibility through unmatched tax education, industry-leading federal tax research, up-to-the minute tax code insights and services and supplies to support their business. Our members know that through their service to taxpayers, they are putting more good into the world.

National Association of Enrolled Agents

 

NAEA provides valuable services to tax professionals and taxpayers alike. For example, NAEA members are required to complete a minimum of 30 hours of CE each year in the interpretation, application and administration of federal tax laws in order to maintain membership in the organization. This requirement surpasses the IRS required minimum and ensures that taxpayers choosing to use an EA always receive up-to-date guidance reflecting the most recent tax code updates.

IRS Enrolled Agent

 

An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by either passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual and business tax returns, or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete 72 hours of continuing education courses every three years.

Certified Tax Coach

 

The Certified Tax Coach designation denotes financial expertise, tax planning excellence, and outstanding customer satisfaction. All Certified Tax Coaches attend an intensive, three-day proprietary training academy, and are required to attend 24 additional hours each year of continuing professional education in proactive tax planning.   Attendees become well versed in high-impact tax planning strategies, and are offered additional continuing education courses to expand their specialized knowledge. Professionals with the Certified Tax Coach designation know how to save their clients thousands of dollars that would otherwise be wasted on unnecessary taxes.
